Antony Funnell

Antony Funnell was drawn to journalism as it was the only career that made sense to him. His career began with a cadetship at the ABC, where he’s spent most of the last two decades working for news and current affairs programs.

While he currently presents Future Tense on ABC Radio National, he has worked for a number of other programs including AM, PM, the 7.30 Report, Media Report, Radio National Breakfast, and Background Briefing, for which he won a Walkley Award for his 2005 story ‘The Financial Abuse of the Elderly’.

In this Working Journalist podcast, Master of Global Communications student Matt Smith talks to Antony Funnell, about his career, changing technology, and the challenges of finding a way to take a  holiday from work.
