Matthew Ricketson is an academic and journalist who has worked at The Age, The Australian, and Time Magazine Australia. In between that he ran the journalism program at RMIT for eleven years.

He is currently a Professor of journalism at the University of Canberra, and has been assisting in the independent media inquiry.
