In this La Trobe podcast interview with Matt Smith, ABC Managing Director Mark Scott discusses the phone hacking scandal and its possible fallout, journalism practice and ethics, the changing media landscape, and, of course, the ABC.

Mark Scott took up his position as the Managing Director of the ABC in 2006 and is now in his second term. Under his leadership the ABC has embraced digital media, added a 24-hour news channel, and expanded its internet platform.

In this La Trobe podcast interview with Matt Smith, conducted on Wednesday 20 July, Mark Scott discusses the phone hacking scandal and its possible fallout, journalism practice and ethics, the changing media landscape, what he and his family watch on TV, and, of course, the ABC.

Matt Smith is La Trobe University’s Digital Media Officer. He is also a Master of Global Communications student and a contributor to a range of publications as well as the ABC’s Radio National.
