Please sport us

It’s almost spring; the footy finals are upon us, the horses are on the track, and upstart is two months old. All of which points our next goal – to get a sports section up and running. And we’re inviting you to be part of our game plan.

    Hi

I’m a first year BA student at Latrobe and I’m currently undertaking the Audience and Communication 1st year class. I am interested in writing a weekly column or creating a weekly podcast about the AFL, in particular from a female perspective. This would really work if there was an all-female panel for a podcast, with a strong comic element. I have yet to come across a radio program/podcast where this is the case, and I have some great ideas for a program with these elements.

Just out of interest, have you thought about podcasts for this site? Might be an interesting spin-off.

I can be contacted via email or if you’re reading this Laurie Zion, you can see me in the Monday 2pm tutorial!

    Many thanks
    Kim Hellard

And please ignore my comment about the podcasts, of course they’re on the site! What was I thinking?
