War memorial wreaths stolen by laughing teenagers

Boys filmed snatching flowers for their girlfriends.

A group of teenagers have been caught on camera laughing as they stole wreaths from a Box Hill Anzac memorial.

Two boys were filmed snatching the wreaths placed at the war memorial for fallen soldiers and delivering them to their awaiting, laughing, girlfriends.

Police told 9News they had not been aware of the incident and will today begin an investigation into the vandalism.

One of the girls in the video can be heard repeatedly yelling “’onya’ c—!” and “look how many he f—ing got”.

The other then proceeds to place the flowers on her head and pose for a photo.

The young girls filmed the ordeal and posted it to their Snapchat before it was picked up by a viewer and shared on Facebook.

Since then, the video has generated outrage from many who have expressed their anger and disgust at the disrespect shown by the vandals.

“These scums decided to go to a Box Hill gardens and steal flowers that friends, family, even strangers have laid for these beautiful veterans that have fought for our country and passed away!” the girl who posted the video on Facebook wrote.

“This is beyond disrespectful and I can’t put into words how sick, angry and f—ing upset this makes me feel.”

The wreaths have since been replaced at the memorial site.
