What happens when the great media empire falls?

ABC Managing Director tackles this question in his 2009 A.N.Smith Lecture in Journalism on Wednesday, 14th of October.

ABC  Managing Director Mark Scott will examine what happens to quality journalism when its reach and audience are limited by significant changes in the media landscape, and what can Australians expect of the ABC in the next decade?

His lecture is titled: "The Fall of Rome: Media after Empire".

Time: 6.30pm

Place: The new Economics and Commerce Building, 198 Berkely St, Carlton.  The University of Melbourne.
