Final-year students and recent graduates aged 26 years and under are invited to apply for the Jacoby-Walkley Scholarship.

Successful applicants will take part in a paid 12-week program which includes placement at 60 minutes, the Nine newsroom, A Current Affair and Today, followed by placement at the Walkley Foundation. They will also receive mentoring from senior journalist members of the Walkley Advisory Board.

The Jacoby-Walkley Scholarship was established in 2013 with support from ITV Studios Australia managing director Anita Jacoby to recognise the legacy of her father, Phillip Jacoby.

Kirrily Schwarz, 2014 Jacoby-Walkley Scholarship winner, gained invaluable experience.

“The Scholarship helped me kick-start my career in a way I had only dreamed about. After my internship, I was offered a job in the Nine newsroom. It’s a very exciting and dynamic place to be, giving me the chance to develop my skills by learning from some of the industry’s best,” she said.
