The ABC’s News Division is looking for journalism cadets for January 2017.
Successful applicants will receive a one-year contract and will be offered comprehensive training in radio, television and digital news, with a starting salary of about $53,000 a year.
The training also includes intensive workshops, mentoring and on-the-job training, as well as the chance to learn from some of Australia’s most outstanding journalists.
Eligible candidates will need to have initiative, well-developed research and writing skills and excellent communication and presentation skills.
Cadets who meet the standards required by the end of the cadetship year are likely to be offered a position in a regional newsroom.
