Editiorial Assistant position with Margaret Gee’s Australian Media Guide

Located in Melbourne, Margarent Gee’s Australian Media Guide is seeking someone to join their publishing team.

You will be working alongside the Editor of Margaret Gee’s Australian Media Guide to help edit their extensive database, liase with subscribers and research media industry movements. You will also have the opportunity to hone your writing skills and publish articles on connectweb.com.au.

This is an entry-level position and is best suited to either a recent graduate or someone who has had work experience in a similar role.

Candidates must have a high level of attention to detail and a keen interest in all things news, media and publishing. Candidates must be digitally-focused, an internet native who is social media savvy and can work either independently or within a team.

Applicants will preferably have tertiary qualifications within communications, journalism, public relations and/or relevant work in a similar role.

Experience in publishing, editing or professional writing and/or using Adobe InDesign and DBMS (Database Management Systems) will be viewed favorably.
