Local Radio’s Rural Department has 3 vacancies for highly motivated, entry level program makers. Working to the Executive Producer Rural, the successful applicants will have proficient reporting, production and presentation skills and will report for regional, state and national radio programs as well as online.
On the job training will be provided as well as opportunities to undertake specific training programs, however applicants must demonstrate strong potential in broadcasting as well as a sound knowledge of the issues affecting primary industries and rural communities.
The successful applicant must be prepared to travel and work anywhere in Australia and will be part of the overall Local Radio team, contributing to operational and administrative activities of regional radio stations.
Entry Level Rural Reporters will receive initial training in a capital city location, but are likely to moved to different locations in different states, to meet ABC Rural’s operational needs.
