Successful applicants will be expected to draw on the journalism skills and attributes they have required so far in order to help them pitch news stories, do interviews, organise photographs and write up their stories worthy of publication in print and online.

MMP looks to help those on placement by developing their writing skills and fine-tuning their news value sense.

It is crucial that applicants are available for a minimum of two weeks in order to ensure they can get the most out of the opportunity with MMP. Students must also ensure they are able to organise insurance independtly through their university.
