Julian Disney on the need for good journalism

Chair of the Australian Press Council to speak on the need for good journalism in the wake of the media inquiry.

Julian Disney AO, Chair of the Australian Press Council, will speak at a public lecture on the topic of ‘Why good journalism will always matter’, held by the Centre for Advanced Journalism at the University of Melbourne.

Big changes are ahead for Australian media with the submission of the media inquiry in the coming weeks, and Disney’s lecture will be timely as the country examines the role of a free and independent press, and the future of the Press Council.
