La Trobe graduate lands newspaper job

Kurt Mason, who is finishing a Graduate Diploma in Journalism at La Trobe, has been hired as a third-year cadet at a Fairfax paper, The Burnie Advocate, in Tasmania. Well done Kurt!

Kurt Mason, who is finishing a Graduate Diploma in Journalism at La Trobe, has been hired as a third-year cadet at a Fairfax paper, The Burnie Advocate, in Tasmania. He will be a general news reporter. Kurt  completed a BA in history and sociology at the University of Tasmania before coming to La Trobe. He starts work on 9 November. Congratulations Kurt!

News of Kurt’s new gig comes hot on the heels of our story about fellow 2009 graduate Rania Spooner, who has just been hired by the Kalgoorlie Miner.
