MEAA sub-editing training course

If you’re in Sydney and interested in some training in subbing and InDesign, then book now for this valuable two-day course.

The Media Alliance, in conjunction with The Walkley Foundation, is running an intensive course in Sydney on the fundamentals of sub-editing.

Join journalism trainer Kerrie Lee and art director Kim Jacobs for two interactive training sessions designed to sharpen your subbing skills and introduce you to InDesign.

They will cover the basics of sub-editing, including editing text; writing headings, introductions and captions; grammar and punctuation; and fitting copy to layout. They will also provide a hands-on introduction to InDesign, customised for subs and their text needs.

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.

This two-day training course will take place on Saturday May 7 and Saturday May 14 from 9.30am-5.30pm.
