La Trobe student Kara Irving’s front page story in The Age

Congratulations to final-year La Trobe Journalism student Kara Irving for her front-page exclusive in The Age today. Another La Trobe journalism student, Angus Monfries, also has a piece published in today's edition.

Are you one in one of the hundreds of photos that more than 8,000 men have been looking at on a secret Facebook page?

La Trobe Journalism student Kara Irving has broken an exclusive front-page story in today’s Age which exposes a Facebook group called ‘The Brocial Network’ that has been set up to collect photos of young women in bikinis and lingerie without their consent. If you thought your photos were safe on your private Facebook account, you may have to think again. Read the full story here.

And well done Kara. It’s not  every day that a student scores a front-page story.

Congratulations also to La Trobe journalism student Angus Monfries, who also has a piece in The Age today on how Twitter allows AFL fans to connect with the sport.

Well done Angus!
