Child left with significant injuries after attempted abduction

They were stabbed and thrown from a moving car.

A 14-year-old student has been taken to hospital with significant injuries after being forced into a car and stabbed outside of a school in Glen Huntly.

It’s believed the student had just finished school before being forced into a dark grey Volkswagen Tiguan at 3.35pm on Monday.

The car was driving along Neerim Road before the victim was stabbed and thrown from the moving vehicle near the Grange Road intersection.

Police are still looking into whether the incident is related to an earlier robbery on Kambrook Road, where four teenagers were robbed by two offenders with machetes at 3.25pm.

Police are asking for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Crime Stoppers.
