Gotham City shot at in latest brothel attack

Though no injuries occurred, police are concerned it may be linked to a recent series of attacks across the CBD and surrounding suburbs.

Police are searching for a gunman after shots were fired at South Melbourne’s Gotham City brothel early this morning.

It has been reported that at least four shots were fired from a moving vehicle at 1:45am, hitting a roller door and an empty parked car.

Although the business operates 24 hours a day with staff in attendance, no one was injured.

The shooter fled before the police arrived on scene with Victoria Police’s Operation Eclipse now searching for the runaway gunman. The operation was set up earlier this week to address the recent hospitality attacks in the CBD, Prahran, South Melbourne and South Yarra.

Victoria Police Crime and Counter Terrorism Investigation Services are currently investigating whether the shooting is linked to the more than a dozen bars and pubs firebombed in the last two weeks.
