Iranian drones and missiles have been intercepted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after being launched for the first time since the US and Iran ceasefire.
The UAE sent a phone alert to citizens overnight warning them of potential missile threats. Less than half an hour later, it was deemed safe to resume normal activities.
Following this, US President Donald Trump told Fox News that Iran would be “blown off the face of the earth” if they target any US vessels guiding ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
Senior Iranian defence official, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, warned the US and Israel against “any hostile move”, according to Iranian Press TV.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran is a sacred sanctuary, and its security is a non-negotiable principle,” he said.
The missiles fired have caused Brent oil prices to rise more than five percent.
