La Trobe University’s Centre for Dialogue – in conjunction with the Africa Day Celebration Committee, the African Think Tank, and the Universal Peace Federation – is hosting former Prime Minister, the Honourable Kevin Rudd’s inaugural Australia-Africa Dialogue address today.
The lecture will be held from 4 pm to 5.30 pm at the Western Lecture Theatre 1, La Trobe University Melbourne Campus, Bundoora (Melway ref: 19G7).
Africa Day is the annual commemoration of the founding of the African Union on May 25, 1963. The day is celebrated around the world as ‘African Liberation Day’ by community and non-government organisations in partnership with the United Nations and the African Union.
The title of Mr Rudd’s address will be Africa – Australia Relations: Challenges and Prospects.
