Melbourne welcomes home Olympians

Hundreds packed Federation Square yesterday to meet their sporting idols, with everyone hoping to get a glimpse of gold medalists Sally Pearson and Anna Meares, reports Damien Ractliffe.

Federation Square was a swarm of green and gold (and blue wigs), as Melburnians welcomed back the Australian athletes.

upstart was at Fed Square, where hundreds were eager to meet their sporting idols.
