Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, known for his singles, We found love and Summer is back this year with a new track called, Over Now. This time he’s collaborating with Canadian singer, The Weekend. It may not be the usual club-banger we expect from Harris but rather a smooth and soulful jam to brighten your weekend. Check out the single here.

Selena Gomez and Blackpink, Ice Cream.

That’s right, pop star, Selena Gomez is bringing out fresh music in collaborating with South Korean Girl band, Blackpink. On top of the new single, Gomez and Blackpink will also release a music video, both dropping tomorrow. Check out the teaser trailer here.

 

Disclosure’s new album, Energy.

Electronic music duo, Disclosure is back after five years with a new album called, Energy. In collaborating with a range of artists this party playlist will make your weekend much more enjoyable. You can listen to it here or listen on Spotify or Apple Music.

I Am Women, Stan.

Chicken Little, Friday 28th of August.

Friday is family movie night and this weekend 7Flix has you covered with the classic animation, Chicken Little. The 2008 family film is about Chicken Little, a young chick who must save his world after a piece of the sky falls. It starts at 6:45pm on Friday. Check out the trailer here.

 

Western Bulldogs vs Geelong Cats, Friday 28th of August.

It’s a fight between the Cats and Dogs tonight at Metricon Stadium. Geelong needs the win to secure their spot in the top four while the Bulldogs need the win to hold their spot in the top eight. But only one can take the four points. It all starts at 7:30pm on Channel 7.

The Dark Knight, Friday 28th of August. 

With a 9/10 rating on IMDb, this action, drama movie is one you need to watch. The Dark Knight follows the DC universe of Batman (Christian Bale), as he tries to save Gotham from his rival, the Joker, played by beloved Aussie actor, Health Ledger. It’s streaming on 9Go at 8:30pm tonight. Check out the trailer here. 

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Saturday 29th of August.

Who doesn’t love a classic, fun movie for a Saturday night in? Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, the third movie in the film series Ice Age, follows Manny, Diego and their new crew as they venture to save Sid in the unknown world of Dinosaurs. It airs at 7pm on 7Flix this Saturday. Check out the trailer here.

Melbourne vs St Kilda, Saturday 29th of August.

In an exciting midfield battle, the Saints and the Demons will face off this Saturday at TIO Traeger Park. It’s expected to be a great night of footy that you won’t want to miss, all starting at 7:30pm on Channel 7.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Saturday 29th of August.

Are you a fan of the classic 1995 movie, Jumanji? Then you’ll want to check this movie out. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a crowd-pleasing reboot on the classic adventure film starring Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gilan, Jack Black and Kevin Hart. This time the game, in electronic form, sucks four students into the world of Jumanji. In order to leave the mysterious world, they must save Jumanji and finish the game. Plate of Origin, Sunday 30th of August.

Do you enjoy watching cooking shows? Well the new Australian cooking show, Plate of Origin, might just be for you. It’s a competitive cooking show hosted by celebrity chefs, Manu Feildel, Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston. It all starts at 7pm on channel 7.

Back to the Future, Sunday 30th of August.

Who doesn’t love a classic Sci-fi, adventure film to finish off their weekend? Back to the Future (1985) tells the story of Marty, who travels back in time using scientist, Doc’s time machine. In order to return to the present, he must make his high-school parents fall in love. It’s on 9Go at 7pm this Sunday night. Check out the trailer here.
