It has been dubbed one of the greatest moments in Australian sporting history. But what does Cadel Evans' victory mean for us? Ryan Murphy toured La Trobe University to get some answers.

Last Friday, tens of thousands of people packed Melbourne’s Federation Square to welcome home Australia’s newest sporting icon.

Cadel Evans made history a month ago when he won the Tour de France. So much so that his homecoming last Friday was declared to be ‘National Cadel Day’.

upstart‘s Ryan Murphy rode around La Trobe University to see what this meant to students.
