Sports Writers Festival kicks off in Melbourne

On Saturday the 21st of November 2015, the Sports Writers Festival is hosting a preliminary "mini-fest" at Federation Square.

The main festival, to be held in October 2016, will consist of a range of forums, workshops and interviews.

Guest speakers this weekend include legendary Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath, La Trobe University sports journalism lecturer David Lowden, and sports journalists Francis Leach, Gideon Haigh, Kate Cohen and Russell Jackson.
