Lizzo’s dancers speak publicly on singer’s alleged behaviour

Two dancers spoke about the singer's alleged behaviour.

Two dancers have spoken about their experiences working with US singer Lizzo, following their allegations of sexual harassment, body shaming and a hostile work environment.

Former dancers Arianna Davis and Crystal Williams told CBS News they felt their job was on the line if they didn’t participate in particular situations.

According to Davis, Lizzo allegedly pressured her into touching a nude dancer while on a night out in Amsterdam with a group of dancers.

“It was funny to them…I was mortified,” Davis said during the interview.

Davis also alleged she was fat-shamed during her time working with the star.

Since her rise to stardom, the singer has become an icon of body positivity.

Crystal Williams claimed there were major differences between what she expected, based on the singer’s reputation and image, and her experience of actually working with her.

“She’s kind of contradicting everything that she stands for behind the scenes,” she said.

Sophia Nahli Allison, former director of Lizzo’s 2019 documentary, Love, Lizzo, claims she dropped out of the job after just two weeks due to negative experiences.

“I was treated with such disrespect by her. I witnessed how arrogant, self-centred, and unkind she is,” she wrote in a post on X.

Lizzo rose to fame during 2019 with her hit single ‘Truth Hurts’ from her album, Cuz I Love You.
