Push for P-platers to the age of 25

The assistant police commissioner Robert Hill is proposing young drivers to remain on probationary licences until the age of 25. Kathleen O’Connor reports.

The move comes as Victoria’s road toll is reaching new heights. According to the accident transport commission, 40 per cent of 20 to 25 year-olds killed or injured on Victorian roads every year were victims of drink-driving. The podcast was originally aired on SYN radio 21 May.
