Casual graduate journalist job in Sydney

Opportunity for a graduate journalist to work for an audio, lighting and staging equipment distributor.

JANDS, one of Australia’s leading distributors and manufacturers of professional audio, lighting and staging equipment, is seeking a graduate journalist to join its Marketing and Communications Department on a casual basis.

This position is ideal for a technically minded graduate with knowledge of and/or interest in professional audio, lighting or staging products/industry.

Under the guidance of the Marketing and Communications Manager, the casual Graduate Journalist will liaise with relevant parties and conduct thorough research and write detailed and captivating press releases

To be successful in this role, applicants will ideally possess:

-Tertiary qualifications in journalism, communication or PR

-Exceptional research and writing skills

-High degree of initiative, judgment and attention to detail

-A proven ability to meet deadlines

This casual position will give you the chance to make an immediate impact on publications, while developing your skills as a journalist.
