The Community Newspaper Group in Western Australia is looking for a graduate cadet reporter to work at their Rockingham branch. The successful applicant will work on mastheads including the Weekend Courier and Kwinana Courier.

Candidates are expected to have tertiary qualifications in journalism or communications, or be in their final year of relevant study. Knowledge of the Rockingham and Kwinana areas would be an advantage, as well as a fresh perspective on local news.

The role involves working as part of an editorial team, writing news, sport, entertainment and feature articles, and some photography.

If successful, applicants will receive on-the-job training and be able to access online training modules.
