Guest lecture by mobile app developer

With the smartphone taking centre stage in the digital communications revolution, award winning developer, Steve Potter will talk to La Trobe students about his experience building software for the new platform.

With the popularity of iPhones and their Android competitors, smart phone apps have taken off in the past couple of years.

Some commentators remain sceptical, viewing apps as a passing fad. But they offer a lot of possibility for innovative producers and marketers.

On Tuesday October 18, award winning mobile app developer, Steve Potter, will give a guest lecture to third year La Trobe Media Studies students.

Steve, who works in the e-marketing department at La Trobe, took on the role of Project Manager, for the team who developed the smart phone app for La Trobe’s Open Day in 2011.
