The Pun seeks contributors

The Pun, an online publication which provides coverage (reviews, news, interviews) of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, is on the hunt for contributors.

Online publication The Pun has been running for five years, and each year it has a call for contributors, offering  opportunities for new and emerging writers and editors to gain practical experience in publishing.  From their website: ‘The Pun have a strong commitment to offering opportunities for all writers and editors, regardless of experience.’

There are two types of roles available: either going out and reviewing live comedy shows over the course of the festival, or sub-editing contributions.

Responsibilities will include reviewing, researching, sub-editing, and coming up with editorial content.

Although experience isn’t necessary you’ll need to have excellent English skills and a ‘can-do’, motivated attitude.

These positions are on a voluntary basis, and will last from 30 March until 24 April 2011.

For further details, take a look at their website.
