Public event: Is there a future for quality newspapers in Australia?

Paul Ramadge, Eric Beecher, Mary Debrett and Robert Manne will discuss the future of newspapers in Australia today at 12.30PM in the Seminar Room of La Trobe University's Borchardt Library.

The Ideas and Society Program at La Trobe University are holding an event to examine and question the future of newspapers in Australia, a scenario all in the journalism industry are contemplating.

Four knowledgeable speakers will be taking part in the event:

Eric Beecher, Crikey Proprietor; former Editor, the Sydney Morning Herald
Dr Mary Debrett, Strategic Communication, La Trobe University
Professor Robert Manne, Politics, La Trobe University
