Radical Beginnings is an oral history project exploring La Trobe’s own cultural and screen studies history during a period of political and artistic ferment, the late 1960s and 1970s. Symposium speakers will include the filmmakers and other key Media/Education figures of the times.

You are also invited to attend a pre-symposium screening of three films made by La Trobe staff and students in the 1970s:

(A documentary film produced by Patricia Edgar in 1972)

Yakkety Yak
(An experimental film directed by Dave Jones in 1974)
