SYN seeking reporters and presenters

Youth-run media organisation SYN wants you!

SYN is looking for reporters and presenters to work on the daily youth current affairs show Panorama, for one day a week.

This is an opportunity for journalism and communication students to get real practice in broadcast journalism. The Panorama team is largely made up of media and journalism students, and anyone can get involved no matter what level of experience they have.

They have a radio training program in place to get new people started with learning about how to use the equipment and studios.

Involvement can be as little as filing a couple of stories/interviews a week and it’s a good way to get into the ‘real world’ of journalism.

As SYN is a youth radio station, you must be under 26 to be eligible.

If you’re interested, send them an email at panorama@syn.org.au.

Additionally, there are spots for newsreaders with slots on the morning show, Get Cereal, the midday news and afternoon news every day of the week. If you’re interested, email Rob Baird at news@syn.org.au.
