Three part-time positions available at SYN Media

Join this youth-run media organisation and support young people to create their own media.

SYN is a youth-run media organisation that provides training and broadcast opportunities for young Australians.

General Manager Tahlia Azaria says SYN Media has successfully applied for funds to support three one-year, part time positions at the independent broadcasting organisation.

‘It’s really exciting that we’ve been given this funding and we’re looking forward to providing opportunities for young people to get involved in a paid capacity with the station.’

The new positions include:
A content development co-ordinator to support the volunteers to produce outstanding content, helping producers to develop content and think outside the square.

A schools on-air producer to work with high schools and TAFE to co-ordinate the education program and develop resources to support teachers.

An access programming co-ordinator to work to increase the diversity of voices on air, identifying and working with different groups to increase their representation.

SYN encourages applicants under the age of 26, and applicants who have previously volunteered at SYN will be favourably regarded.

Applications for all three positions close 15 July at 5pm.
