Entries are open for this year’s Melbourne Press Club/Siemens Award for Student Journalism.

Now in its eighth year, the MPC/Siemens Award promotes and recognises excellence in Victorian student journalism.

Any student studying journalism or communications at a tertiary institution in Victoria can enter their published work for consideration.

The award includes $2,000 cash and one week of work experience at the Herald Sun newspaper in Melbourne.

Entries close at 5pm on Friday 7 October 2011. The winner will be announced at a Melbourne Press Club lunch in November.
