MWF Official Selection: Convos With My 2-Year-Old

Matthew Clarke's comedy series Convos With My 2-Year-Old re-enacts actual conversations with his 2-year-old daughter.. with an adult male playing the part of the 2-year old daughter.

Ahead of Melbourne WebFest 2014 we are profiling all the series in the Official Selection as well as the “Second Look” series.

Convos With My 2-Year-Old is filmed in Vancouver. It’s funny, cute, it’s awkward, and it’s surreal. It’s exactly like having kids.

What do you want people to take away from your series?

Hopefully a smile. And maybe a different perspective on parenting and what it means to be a toddler.

What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome in production?

Keeping a straight face.

How do you reach your audience?

Through the internet, YouTube specifically.

Is it an ongoing project?

Yes, we’re currently in the middle of season 3. Beyond that you’ll just have to tune in to find out.

Why make a web series?

Because it’s attainable. You don’t need anyone’s permission. If you have a fun idea? Just do it.
